The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Sales will be responsible for revenue-generation for the company from the acquisition and retention of new and existing health plan and health system customers.  The successful candidate will represent Cricket Health to senior executives in the industry.  He/she must be resourceful and able to operate independently, drawing in colleagues when appropriate.  He/she must have demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-moving, at times ambiguous, and constantly evolving environment. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead consultative sales process with leading health plans and health systems
  • Develop and execute customer prospecting, qualification and pursuit strategy
  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership to determine and achieve sales goals
  • Take ownership of sales pipeline and partner development
  • Drive sales process through its entire lifecycle to close
  • Identify and solve operational & organizational barriers
  • Determine appropriate pricing and contract structures 
  • Lead complex deal negotiations to resolution & close
  • Create and present compelling partner-ready presentations
  • Identify key partner stakeholders & champions and cultivate those relationships
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, operations and product teams to ensure partner success 
  • Communicate market insights that help shape marketing, product development and corporate growth strategy
  • Identify and act on opportunities to grow existing accounts

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in health plan and health system sales
  • Expertise with health plans (MA, commercial, provider-sponsored), health systems and risk-bearing providers
  • Demonstrated success selling innovative healthcare services that require market development and a consultative sale
  • Passion for our mission and improving healthcare
  • Strong analytic abilities
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Great listener and communicator
  • Ability to gain the confidence and trust of C- level executives 
  • Ability to get to win-win arrangements with partners
  • Ability to travel nationwide up to 50% time
