Management Accountant

Credit Kudos is a venture-backed fintech and challenger credit bureau that uses financial behaviour to measure creditworthiness. Our technology, based on Open Banking data, transforms the way credit checking and credit scores work by generating a more accurate and holistic view of a borrower's creditworthiness. We’re working with lenders to help them make better, fairer credit decisions.

We’re looking for a talented Management Accountant to join our finance group. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to grow as we build out the team, and will make a personal impact in how the financial group functions.

What you will do:
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts with actual and forward-looking budget; prepare different models/scenarios as required
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Help design, build and maintain financial KPI reporting metrics
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including cash, accrual, prepaids and fixed asset accounts), resolving any discrepancies promptly
  • Post journals to the general ledger in Xero to record company transactions
  • Cashflow modelling
  • Analyse and comment on actual variances against prior period and budget
  • Support the payments accounting process to ensure accurate, timely booking and appropriate treatment
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Assist with audit requests and deliverables
  • Support business partnering activities with specific budget holders across the organisation
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures to support growth
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support management decision-making

What'll you'll need:
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA part qualified
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in industry
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and/ or Google Sheets skills
  • Proactive, organised, self-starter and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a high-growth company (preferably between Series A to Series C investment round)

  • Experience using Xero
  • Experience in the fintech industry
