We are seeking full-time International Business Development Manager with experience in drilling software and/or drilling services. The BDM is primarily focused on securing business with new customers and secondarily focused on expanding business with existing customers. The BDM works closely with the Software and R&D Teams to ensure Corva’s products serve the needs of the international market.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify prospective customers, including the various decision makers within an organization, and effectively communicate Corva’s value
- Gather real-time system requirements from major players across the world to ensure Corva’s platform meets their needs
- Develop and oversee tender process for securing new work
- Evaluate opportunities to establish and expand business through multiple channels
- Secure new business for Corva with existing customers and new customers
- Provide demonstrations on Corva and answer questions on the system
- Identify opportunities to capture case studies from customers to quantify Corva’s value
- Participate in marketing discussions to continuously improve Corva’s reach
- Follow up on customer requests and business opportunities in a timely manner
- Research and provide preliminary recommendations on local service models for Corva
- Regularly update CRM and sales pipeline of opportunities
- Assemble proposals to customers
- Facilitate initial MSA and contract discussions as needed
- Organize and participate trade shows, industry events, and other opportunities to interact with customers and promote Corva
- Provide training to customers on Corva system as required
- Provide industry and customer insight to Corva team for future product development and growth
- Travel as required, up to 50%

Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Minimum of 10 (ten) years of international business development with a proven track record in identifying and closing new sales opportunities
- Experience working within operators at multiple levels
- Strong familiarity of software available in drilling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work well with teams and collaborate with sales, operations, and R&D
- Strong track record of follow through for customers and closing business
- Proven organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of navigating modern web sites
- Experience utilizing real time drilling data
- Analytical thinking skills
Recommended but not required:
- Experience in drilling optimization
- Management or supervisory experience
- Four-year Bachelor of Science in engineering, geology, or related field
