The candidate is responsible for overseeing our customer-facing team and marketing initiatives. The candidates focus is growing customer happiness and market share through existing and new products/services. The right person will roll up his/her sleeves to support Corva’s rapid growth and our customers’ needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee sales and accounts team with a focus on customer happiness
- Oversee marketing functions
- Mentor and coach team members
- Recruit and train additional team members as needed
- Set marketing strategy and ensure timely, professional execution
- Negotiate contractual terms with new customers with support from legal
- Spearhead quarterly sales goals and progress with team and management
- Assist sales and account team members with large opportunities to ensure Corva is well prepared and represented
- Interact with customers from engineers to C suite
- Introduce new products and services to the market thoughtfully and effectively
- Establish strategic plans for market growth and product development
- Consolidate and communicate customer recommendations
- Identify opportunities to improve Corva’s customer experience
- Oversee P&L for team and manage expenses
- Provide sales forecasts
- Compile and submit reports as needed
- Interact with customers regularly; visit customers with team
- Support team in managing customer relations
- Ensure clear communications internally and externally
- Communicate with customers to resolve issues as needed
- Support testing in conjunction with development of staged systems prior to deployment
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- 7+ years of sales experience; 2+ years of experience managing salespeople as a player/coach or mentor/coach in a technology company in the oil & gas industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Leadership skills and ability to work well with teams effectively (local and remote)
- Experience mentoring or leading a sales team with track record of reaching sales goals, including forecasts and developing teams.
- Consultative, value-proposition/business case driven sales experience.
- Strong experience in contract language and contract terms negotiations.
- Four-year degree in Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Business or related field
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically
- Analytical thinking skills
