Our first product is a handheld meditation trainer, Core, that pulses in your hands to help you focus, and analyzes heart rhythm to give you feedback on calmness and progress over time. Our first batch quickly sold out and organically attracted engagements with a Grammy-winning artist, NFL and PGA Tour athletes, Lululemon, Saks 5th Ave, and more.

We have been testing and iterating for years, refining the product experience to make it stand out above the rest . Now we are ready to scale our entire team to get this product to market as fast as possible. This will be the most exciting and most critical time for Core. We are currently part of the Bolt Hardware Accelerator in San Francisco with a dynamic, creative community of hardware entrepreneurs.  We also have special access to Autodesk's Pier 9 Workshop complete with a world class CNC shop, wood shop, metal shop, 3D printers and more.

Who You Are
You are a bright, motivated, dynamic engineer who wants to bring meditation to more people around the world. You get excited about shipping consumer hardware, growing a team, establish the right process at the right time, and all the steps within. 

You have:
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required. Master's degree a plus.
  • 5+ years experience designing complex consumer electronics.
  • Strong CAD skills with industry standard software (Solidworks preferred) and some ID and surfacing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the NPI, consumer electronics device manufacturing processes, and DFM/A.
  • Demonstrable experience with part and product design validation.
  • Successful track record creating detailed mechanical designs and bringing them through production.
  • Working knowledge of high volume manufacturing processes, including but not limited to: plastic injection molding, metal injection moulding, and machining.
  • Flexible and strong collaborative problem solving skills

What you bring:
  • Demonstrable experience with part and product design validation.
  • A good understanding of Offshore Manufacturing model (CM, ODM)
  • Clarity in documenting issues. Persistence in following up on root cause analysis & corrective actions by the responsible parties.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Unparalleled mechanical and design understanding.
  • Ability to establish new process as needed.
  • Own your own design programs, from ID concept through mass production and sustaining

  • Able to travel up to 15% to Mexico and China.
