Instructional Designer

We’re looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic instructional designer with client facing and product experience to join the Product Education team for a 6 month or more contract. Must be passionate about developing engaging online content that boosts client performance, confidence and satisfaction. Strong technology and content development skills a must. You should welcome the opportunity to constantly learn new skills at a quick pace to keep up with product enhancements and changes in the team’s design and development processes. This position reports to the Manager/Sr. Manager of Product Education and works on-site at our corporate headquarters in Watertown, MA. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Instructional Design (70%):

●        Helping develop leading-edge training materials to effectively and efficiently onboard our clients
●        Working with subject matter experts on a variety of topics to translate them into scalable, concise, impactful learning interventions
●        Updating/improving existing training materials and production methodologies
●        Applying the latest ideas, methods and technologies to ensure the best possible learning outcomes
●        Utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to improve training and prove its effectiveness
●        Forwarding the company’s mission of creating the healthcare internet backbone while helping doctors be doctors
●        Researching new technologies to improve learning experience and outcomes
●        Write storyboards, scripts, design documents, and other materials as required to support an agile curriculum development process

Product and Customer Success (30%):

●        Collaborating closely with a team of talented ID’s, technical writers, product managers, and our Customer Success organization, including Onboarding, Client Support Center and Customer Success Management
●        Take ownership in our customer’s success by owning your assigned content area’s educational scorecards, adoption and performance outcomes
●        Provide feedback and expertise into our client’s learning journey
●        Become a subject matter expert in your assigned content area while working across the organization to assess needs and determine the best performance improvement solutions
●        Participate in quality review exercises and design evaluation criteria to measure effectiveness of learning solutions

●        2-5 years’ experience designing and developing training for a variety of delivery modalities
●        Able to integrate adult learning theory and instructional design methodology into a mix of delivery media and methods 
●        Experience designing and delivering client-facing training solutions 
●        Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in instructional design strongly preferred, Master’s degree a plus
●        Healthcare industry experience a plus, but not required

Technical Skills:

●        Working knowledge of Articulate 360 (Storyline), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Camtasia a must
●        Experience with Adobe Captivate and Creative Cloud preferred, but more important is the ability to learn new software applications
●        Skilled with authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Creative Cloud, Premiere and Acrobat

●      Must be able to prioritize and to multi-task in a face paced environment, manage several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts or blockers to manager
●      Capable of working independently as well as part of an extended, cross-functional team
