Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President/CEO (Primary) & Leadership Team 
CoreAxis Consulting is seeking a talented individual who will add significant leverage to the Founder/CEO. CoreAxis’s Chief of Staff will wear a number of hats, including organizing and managing engagements and business initiatives, ensuring the CEO’s work flow is aligned to the organization’s top priorities, working with the Senior Leadership Team and across the organization to ensure that we are achieving the leader’s agenda. Additionally, the Chief of Staff must understand the skills and abilities of the team so s/he can leverage their talents. This individual must build significant trust and rapport with both the CEO and the team members, and at times be asked to drive communication with both clients, internal consultants, contractors & partners. 
The company has an aggressive growth agenda, and the CEO requires close assistance in driving business development, marketing, G-T-M as well as relationship management for 2020. This includes working through the CEO’s close network to build new revenue opportunities through direct meetings, channels, and social media. Special projects from the CEO may also be led by the Chief of Staff (e.g. channel development/sales through a Fortune 500 business partner). 
This is an entrepreneurial and facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility; as well as a willingness to play an active, behind-the-scenes role. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, integrity, willingness to put the CEO’s and the firm’s interest above all else, absolute confidentiality where appropriate, and strong communication & analytical skills. 
The Chief of Staff will help lead the growth, both from an organizational and marketing perspective. The skills of the individual must include client facing as well as strategic thinking. 

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President/CEO provides executive, administrative, project management, development support to the President and the Senior
 | Leadership Team. The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the President. The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as a liaison to the senior leadership teams (SLT); organizes and coordinates executive outreach (business development / sales) and external partnership, growth and public relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

Overview of Responsibilities: 

  • Assists the President/CEO with daily administrative duties and completes a broad variety of administrative tasks that include managing an active calendar of appointments; composing and preparing correspondence; managing projects lead by the President/CEO, agendas, compiling documents for meetings, attending meetings and taking detailed notes. 
  • Communicates with the general staff on the President/CEO’s behalf and coordinates logistics with high-level meetings both internally and externally. Coordinates meetings and strategic activities with the SLT, and members of staff. 
  • Conducts research on prospective prospects and assembles sales/marketing materials needed for the proposals, emails, communications and presentations. 
  • Drafts reports, letters of solicitation, proposals; prepares and coordinates oral and written communication on behalf of the President/CEO. 
  • Participates as an adjunct member of the SLT including assisting in scheduling, attending meetings. Represents the President/CEO in designated meetings as required. 
  • Coordinates projects managed and lead by President/CEO and compiles project status reports weekly. These projects are strategic & growth orientated and CoS will have ownership of execution – i.e. YouTube Channel, Channel Partnerships, M&A activities 
  • Collaborates with other Leaders in Organization that enables growth and scalability of the company 
  • Partner with VP of Ops on work streams and projects that require immediate help, expertise and guidance 
  • Work closely with CoreAxis’s senior leadership team to ensure founder/CEO’s time is leveraged effectively across the organization 
  • Help CEO maintain strong internal and external presence (including LinkedIn, newsletters, blogs, staff meeting requirements, social media (twitter), etc.) 
  •  Assists in coordinating the agenda of senior management team meetings. Prepares an account of the meetings and designates and follows up on assigned action items. Executes on action plans 
  • Assist with pre-sales G-T-M marketing support such as PowerPoint template development & proof-reading of materials.
  • Collaborates with marketing team to create/improve/execute video channels, social media postings, marketing pushes, i.e. creating blog articles and branding messaging. 
  • Ability to participate on client engagements related to Management & Leadership development – i.e. Facilitation, VILT, Webinars, etc. Oversees our CRM, Fresh sales, run weekly reports and customize a dashboard approved by the President/CEO.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, with 6-8 years’ post-college experience in a professional business environment (Learning & development, consulting, or marketing/communications background preferred). MBA candidates will be strongly considered as well. 

Previous Chief of Staff experience is a plus, but not required: 
  • Superior ability to craft effective client-centered communications (emails, PowerPoint, etc.), drawing upon content for positive feedback and data-driven analysis 
  • Stellar judgment and sensitivity when responding to the needs and expectations of multiple clients & audiences (including corporate partners, senior staff & marquee clients through top prospects) 
  • Excellent relationship management skills, influencing ability, and humility 
  • Self-starter who is extremely organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities 
  • concurrently & with strong judgement 
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive material and information with discretion; confidentiality is a 
  • condition of employment 
  • Strong aptitude/ability to pick up new skills quickly 

Skills Required:

  • An entrepreneurial spirit! You take ownership of your role and projects like you own the place. Friendly, positive attitude, team player. 
  • Understanding of Learning & Development and related concepts (eLearning, Instructional Design, Leadership Development, Facilitation. 
  • Organization is your middle name and follow-through is your specialty 
  •  Excellent communication skills including demonstrated written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-pace and constantly changing environment. 
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi- tasking abilities. 
  • Commitment in both time and spirit to the CEO as well as the company 
  • Willingness to work hard and take direction—but also creatively solve problems for which 
  • the answers aren’t always obvious (ability to work in ambiguity at times) 
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Suite, Google Hire, Zoom, Fresh sales
