Business Analyst Intern

Common Energy is a leading clean energy provider based in New York.  Our team has installed more than 30MW of solar energy across the United States, powering more than 5,000 homes, saving homeowners over $40MM, and preventing more than a billion pounds of carbon emissions.  We have developed a new solution that enables anyone to go solar through their utility, without in-home installation.

The Role:  Business Analyst Intern
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will analyze aspects of the solar energy industry that support our business including: Analyzing roofs to determine suitability for solar; Building business and financial models related to solar energy production and economics; Structuring free-from data in a manner that enables efficient analysis and business insights; and Summarizing and presenting your results and conclusions.  As such, you will be a key contributor to our company’s and client’s business decisions.
 
How do I know if this internship is right for me?
●      You are pursuing your bachelor’s degree in science, business, finance, or renewable energy studies
●      You’re great with data, excel, and have excellent attention to detail
●      You have had at least one relevant previous internship
●      You have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
●      You don’t mind some Throwback Thursday playlists or fútbol games playing in the office
 
If our hiring manager could dream up the “perfect” Business Analyst Intern he or she would:
●      Be analytically minded
●      Be proficient with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, etc.
●      Have great communications skills
●      Have some prior programming experience (a plus, not required)
●      Come to work each day ready to make a difference and have fun with our team!
