Role:  Hadoop Engineer(Devops tools + Kerberos experience)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: Duration is 1 year minimum with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • 6+ years of full-time, relevant industry experience
  • Love to use and develop open source technologies like Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, and Spark
  • DevOps/SRE with the experience of managing and dealing with security of large Hadoop clusters (cloud or on-prem).
  • The client is looking for with experience with Chef, and experience of Kerberos integration with S3, AWS EMR (Hive, Spark) and Presto.
  • Experience with central authentication platform Kerberos is MUST
  • Design and operation of robust distributed systems
  • Strong scripting ability in Ruby / Python / Bash
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field (ideal)
