Career Engagement Advisor/Manager

Onsite and Fulltime at all locations
First Priority: San Jose, Dallas, Burbank, DC
Second Priority: Tulsa, Berkley, Orange County, Boise (which includes Online Program)

The Career Engagement Advisor is dedicated to support and aid in the overall success throughout their time in Coding Dojo’s 14-week Bootcamp. We’re not only creating Engineers, but we’re shaping people to be the best version of themselves each and every day. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare students throughout the 14-week Bootcamp for success by providing coaching in all aspects of their job search including job search strategies, personal marketing, interview skills, resume writing, LinkedIn Profile, Github, networking, and more
  • Maintain contact with alumni and students who are seeking employment placement assistance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers for the purposes of job placement of graduates
  • Participate in campus activities including, but not limited to: orientation, open houses, class presentations, student events, graduation, professional development seminars, & workshops
  • Increase job opportunities, apprenticeship, and internship leads  
  • We will also look to you to increase program opportunities to facilitate networking between alumni and companies  
  • Build career outreach programs such as job fairs, career programs, and employer panels, working closely with marketing and PR 

REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Deep roots, comprehension, and connections with the local tech community  
  • Strong recruiting or sales background that includes 2-5 years in staffing, business development, or partnerships experience in education and/or tech a plus
  • Background and passion as a Coach or Mentor
  • Responsible for keeping up to date data to report back to management and ensuring KPI and metrics are met per location. 
  • High touch communication skills with the ability to easily speak across all levels of an organization to strategically fulfill needs of partners and Coding Dojo. 
  • Passion for others and their success
  • Extremely organized, able to build/track reports in Excel and capable of the startup ‘hustle’
  • Resourceful; ability to make magic happen with limited resources 
  • Able to prioritize, delegate, and communicate priorities 
  • Consistently focused on tracking the progress of every single student and graduate
  • Experience with outside sales/job development/outreach
