    About the role
     
    We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Assistant/Supervisor to join our successful fast paced Waste Removal company based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for anyone who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain more knowledge and responsibility.
     
    Duties will include assisting the Driver Manager and operations team to support and manage our Drivers. Working closely with the HR Team you will be responsible for:
     
    • Assisting in managing absences for our drivers and Back to work interviews
    • Having catch up calls and 1-2-1’s
    • Assisting HR with support for New Starters
    • Dealing with day to day queries and find solutions to problems
    • Training drivers in loading and unloading vehicles and company expectations
    • Driver Development
    • Assist with Gross Misconduct and dismissals with the support from the HR Team

    For this role you will be expected to travel to different areas of the UK. For this reason we ask that you hold a Full Current UK Driving Licence. Some overnights are expected when training new drivers on average 3-5 nights a week, all expenses are pre paid and additional overtime is available.
     
    Key Details:
     
    Salary: £22,000 Up to £25,000 per annum
    Hours: 45 hours per week + overtime
    Days: Monday - Friday
    Holidays: 28 days including bank holiday entitlement
