Soft Trim Engineer

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the daily activities of assigned engineering projects
  • Lead the design and development of new products within schedule and budget parameters
  • Organize and lead cross-functional seat trim reviews
  • Plan and develop experimental test programs and evaluate the results
  • Issue drawings, specifications, BOMs (header cards)
  • Change and release coordination
  • Proactively identify and resolve engineering and manufacturing related issues
  • Resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction
  • Work be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Assist customers in resolution of field issues. Must have the ability to interpret customer needs and provide information within set deadlines

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering or other related engineering discipline and 1-3 
  • years relevant seat trim experience preferably within automotive interior trim product or the 
  • equivalent of five 5 years relevant work experience
  • Must have effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments
  • Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Demonstrated success in leading product development projects from concept through commercialization
  • Working knowledge of seating systems, interior components and cut & sew preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
