Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Applies and adapts industry-accepted data architecture practices and techniques appropriately. Integrate these practices and techniques across allied disciplines and help develop enterprise roll-out and adoption strategies.
· Applies and adapts data architecture principles, standards, guidelines and concepts appropriately. Under guidance, integrate architecture practices, techniques, principles, standards, guidelines and concepts across allied disciplines and help develop enterprise roll-out and adoption strategies.
· At the enterprise level, in collaboration with specialists from allied disciplines, produces data models that meet business requirements. Identifies opportunities and recommend approaches that will increase the business value of data. Designs and leads model design sessions.
· Manages project-level modeling efforts. Under guidance, manages enterprise-level modeling efforts. Stays apprised of best practices for physical design for at least one major DBMS platform on the technology tool stack and ensures that this knowledge is reflected in Data Architecture work practice documentation.
· Designs data architecture work practices to support data quality standards and guidelines. Develops work practices for the modeling tool. Institutes metric collection/tracking in IT project assessments and assists in data quality improvements.
· Create Subject Area Models, Enterprise Data Model - Conceptual and Logical Data Models for multiple Subject Areas using Data Modeling software.
· Help define Data Architecture/Governance Framework, Reference Architectures, and Enterprise Data Standards
· Supports the data governance adoption and achievement of program objectives.
· Operationalize the Data Governance policies and procedures.
Monitor and assist business/technical data stewards in complying with Data Governance policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications

· Significant previous experience in defining large scale information architectures. Ideally looking for someone who was involved in shaping information architecture strategy, data sourcing and distribution projects, data management, and big data adoption
· Experience in leading data and information architecture activities and working with microservices, data sourcing APIs, big data, etc.
· Ability to facilitate and drive data governance activities, developing data and message standards, helping application teams understand the benefit of data standards and leading the adoption of data standards with knowledge transfer to the application teams across traditional and emerging data technologies
· Experience with data warehouse modeling, operational reports and data stores, BI reports, data replication, ETL technologies, data archival, purging and retrieval implementations.
· Experience in Architecture tools selection and usage.
· Command of software development life cycle methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, etc.
· Hands-on experience with data modeling using Healthcare data best practices, database configuration, and reference data management.
Minimum Requirements
· 10+ years of work experience in information and data architecture, data sourcing and distribution analysis and design, message and transformation design, and data modeling.
· Min 5 years of experience in in Enterprise Data Architecture, Modeling, Governance and Analysis.
· Min 4-5 years of health care industry experience preferred.
· Expertise in establishing Data Modeling Standards, Policies, Guidelines, and Governance.
· 2-3 years on various database technologies (Teradata, Hive, HBase, Oracle, SQL Server etc,)
· Solid experience with Big Data technologies, Hadoop and modern data architectures like Spark and NoSQL structures
· Data modeling tools & standards.
· Experience in Cloud Platform AWS/Azure
· Experience in data processing framework such as Spark and MapReduce and data streaming such as Kafka preferred
