Sr. Product Manager

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Manage and execute the business product vision and feature definitions to ensure impact of developed solution is achieved and results obtained; gather feedback from end users on the products and how to improve them, closing any potential operational gaps; establish acceptable timelines for completion
  • Work with business, customers, carriers and third parties to ensure each request can be supported technically and functionally; work closely with UX designers to make sure features work optimally
  • Conduct daily priority calls with Line of Business management for customers, carriers and vendors 
  • Schedule and coordinate pre-implementation meetings with technical/business/third party representatives of customer, carriers and vendors; deliver weekly project charter updates and communications 
  • Plan integration projects, priorities, risk mitigation, staffing, costs and impacts 
  • Coordinate development and testing with the development and QA teams 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, and work with individuals on maximizing their potential within the organization; develop performance metrics, accountability and career plans
What you need to succeed:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems
  • 12 years of experience with operating systems; designing and optimizing business processes; 1 year of logistics experience; 5 years gathering business requirements and documenting in an agile environment
  • Experience with wire-framing tools such as Omnigraffle, Balsamiq or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in Excel and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed; travel locally on occasion
It’d be great if you also have:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certifications
  • Scrum master; programming experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Confidence to take calculated risks, make strategic, results-oriented decisions, and accept responsibility for the results (positive or negative)
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
