We are seeking an individual will be part of the Enterprise Systems group responsible for all phases of platform engineering. The primary focus will surround the continued design, development, implementation, and support of the systems platform landscape, including, but not limited to IaaS, PaaS, and middleware technologies.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ years of Linux administration, including RedHat variants and/or SUSE
- Expertise with OpenShift
- 2+ years of Container management/orchestration within a Kubernetes environment
- Scripting (Ansible, Puppet, JavaScript, Bash, and PowerShell preferred)
- Understanding of Linux best practices for secure builds in a large enterprise
- Knowledge of Linux security practices and how to implement systems without creating vulnerabilities (privilege escalation or other kinds) to internal or external users
- Understanding of software and services lifecycle management and change process
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter capable of simultaneously prioritizing, and managing a variety of complex project tasks and support activities in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess strong organizational skills, including a keen attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Platform (IaaS/PaaS) automation design, development, implementation, and support
- Provide administration/support for OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Provide Docker runtime support for application teams
- Contribute to Puppet module design, surrounding the build automation of RHEL/OpenShift systems
- Work closely with Infrastructure Engineering groups on continued automation initiatives
- Plan and document multi-step complex changes
- Actively engage vendors to assist in problem resolution
- Work with Information Security to maintain PCI and SOX requirements

- Experience with vRealize Automation suite
- Experience with Puppet (or similar) configuration management tools
- Experience with GIT (or similar) version control systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling
- Experience with Middleware platforms (WebLogic/Tomcat)
- Experience with virtualization technologies
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Basic understanding of storage concepts
- Basic understanding of information security concepts
- Minimum 4-year degree preferred
