    - Occasional Half-Day Saturdays

    NOTE:  For the right candidate, the practice is open to discussing a 4-day work week.

    - $175,000 to $225,000+ Annual Base Salary

    COMPANY PROFILE:
    This organization was opened in 2013 by a group of dedicated, experienced professionals who wanted to provide a comfortable space for geriatric patients to receive a premier level of service. The clinics offer a full range of medical care, but also attend to patients' emotional and social needs. They employ more than 250 dedicated team members, operating 39 offices in the Midwest and East Cost, with expansion to other parts of the country coming soon. The company focuses on medically-underserved communities where patients struggle to find quality healthcare, with a model based on value for patients and not volume of services. Providers spend twice the average length of time in patient visits and collaborate with care team members to ensure all patient needs are met. They are currently hiring due to growth in their Gary location and the need for an on-site clinical leader.


    POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    Reporting to the Regional Medical Director, the new Clinic Medical Director will be responsible for leading the clinicians in the Gary clinic, as well as practicing primary care in the clinic to enable context for the practice and remain close to patients.

    The Clinic Medical Director will have mission-critical leadership responsibilities, which include setting an example for how thoughtful primary care is practiced, serving as a mentor, coach, and advisor to providers. While this is an important role, the clinic is relatively small, so the administrative portion of the job is the minor percentage of work hours. In those hours, dedicated time is set aside for:

    - provider management, working as close to the bedside as possible
    - provide management support and structure to clinicians
    - leadership and coaching
    - supporting organizational strategies, including care management and clinical compliance
    - driving organizational culture


    For the clinical component of the job:

    All care is outpatient.

    See an average of 12 to 15 patients per full clinical day. Providers spend double the average length of time in visits to ensure all patient needs are met.

    Physicians have ample support. The care team includes clinical assistants such as MAs, scribes, nurse practitioners, care managers, and others.

    The practice utilizes the cloud-based Greenway EHR and enterprise suite.

    The on-call schedule is shared equally among all providers. The current rotation is one week of call every 2 - 3 months and will decrease as the practice continues to grow.

    Due to the size of the organization, there are ample opportunities for growth.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    - Indiana medical license
    - DEA
    - Board Certified, Family Practice or Internal Medicine
    - some previous leadership experience preferred
