Essential Functions

Assists OASD(S) by tracking and maintaining data in database and prepares responses to specific information requests. Enters site assessment reports, site assessment downloads, site assessment inventory, site assessment schedules, cooperative agreement information, documenting mitigation activities, quarterly reports, and addressing comments and performing ad-hoc information requests. Analyzes and summarizes detailed technical reports, performs data reviews as required, compiles input and prepares project documentation, presentations, and briefings, assists in the development and maintenance of general project reports, operating procedures and spreadsheets to support project objectives.

Special Qualifications

All candidates shall reflect a high level of knowledge and experience in working with American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiians, training, policy, research, American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian affairs, cultural resources, contracting, and environmental sciences

Requirements

High School Diploma; minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Desktop Publishing. Expert in one or more functional areas, including cultural resources, natural resources, and American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian matters.

The selected candidate shall possess: 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with teams.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of personal computer systems (PC and/or Macintosh).
  • Professional work environment related to various phases of planning.
  • Knowledge not required, but desired:
  • Experience in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and ArcGIS.
  • Working knowledge of planning products and planning principles, concepts, methodologies, rules, and regulations
  • Proficiency in Google G Suite – Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar.
  • Proficiency in MS Project
 
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is anticipated to be a full time position.  

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although limited overnight travel may be expected.
