Take orders and serve guests at bar according all Local and State legal guidelines. Monitors guests to ensure safety. Provide exceptional service to guests. Maintain the upkeep of the bar area
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains current knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes
- Prepares all necessary mixers and garnishes prior to start of service and during shift as needed
- Thorough knowledge of wines, beverages and hotel along with local area information
- Greets guests in a polite professional manner
- Determines guests needs and suggestively up-sells beverages to enhance the guest experience
- Records all aspects of guest order accurately and enters them into POS
- Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order upon request
- Serves guests in a courteous, professional manner
- Monitors guest to prevent overindulgence and ensure safety
- Always maintains cleanliness and sanitation of bar service area
- Cleans and restocks glassware throughout shift
- Performs all closing duties, secures all inventory and supplies
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement,
volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must provide the highest customer service to all guests. Ability to interact with guests using the
Hospitality Standards set out by your General Manager.
