People & Culture Intern

As the People and Culture Intern, you'll discover the details behind the incredible culture of charity: water. You'll learn the ins and outs of helping teams run smoothly by supporting our People Operations Coordinator and the overall People and Culture team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 
• You’ll serve as the main liaison between interns and the People Operations Coordinator, supporting other interns and coordinating intern events. 
• You’ll help maintain our birthday and anniversary celebrations, brainstorming unique ways to highlight individual achievements.
• You’ll craft thoughtful and excellent responses to career, internship, or volunteer opportunity inquires. 
• You’ll support the onboarding of each new staff member, sharing information regarding their first day, creating welcome gifts, and supplying each new hire with first-day necessities. 
• You’ll support a variety of administrative functions for the People and Culture team.
• You’ll take part in our weekly People and Culture team meeting and support numerous brainstorming sessions throughout the semester. 

SKILLS
You're a multitasking machine.
You are eager to learn about the ins and outs of charity: water and how managing the office fits into the larger goal of bringing clean water to the world. This means making sure the staff are taken care of in everything from snacks to supplies to a fresh pot of coffee.

You care about efficiency.
You believe anything can be made better. Innovation excites you and you have ideas to help make charity: water a well-oiled machine. With organization skills galore, you know how to get it done and get it done in the best way.

Your attention to detail is impeccable.
You know the devil is in the detail, and your meticulous nature and dedication to process trumps the threat. The integrity of our data is a core value, and you understand that it take a tremendous amount of focus to get there.

You're independent yet flexible.
You achieve results with little supervision. You aspire to own projects while also following our staff's critique and leadership.

COMMITMENT
We're looking for a student or recent graduate to start in September and commit through December at the charity: water office in NYC. We'll need you for about 24 hours a week. This internship is unpaid, but we're happy to work with your institution to offer you class credit.
