The ideal candidate will design and automate tests for a unique product that involves hardware, infrastructure and software that are deployed from the home to the cloud. A result oriented individual will produce high quality and maintainable testing workflows. Responsibilities -
- Develop and drive QA strategy, plan and implementation across Caspar’s real-time control system, hardware integrations and infrastructure
- Contribute to test automation to report regressions, streamline QA timelines and validate complex tests for a distributed system
- Collaborate on improving test coverage, release velocity and production health
- Work closely with engineering to understand the new functionality changes and identify best ways to validate them.
- Efficiently communicating test results
- Finding, troubleshooting & tracking bugs to resolution
- Be a strong advocate of quality and usability
Qualifications -
- Meticulous and thorough attention to detail and deep passion for high quality, well-tested product
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Strong programming/scripting in test automation domain (preferably Python)
- Experience with at least one unit testing frameworks (unittest, pytest, nose, etc..)
- Extensive working knowledge of Linux environments
- Knowledge of Internet technologies
- Experience with Source Control Tools(Git)
- Ability to empathize with end-user needs and experience
Good to have -
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering/QA/SDET or relevant roles
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, CircleCI
- Written & verbal communication skills
