People Operations Coordinator

Carbon Lighthouse is looking for a resourceful, well-organized People Operations Coordinator to provide support for our rapidly growing team. We are currently at 100+ team members, and every person has a tremendous ability to make an impact on our growing organization. Backed by notable investors, we have eliminated the emissions equivalent of 8 peaker plants, with 500+ buildings under our belt, and a well-tuned and market-tested engineering solution. 

This position is a great opportunity to learn about many aspects of running a business and to gain real-world experience with corporate operations including accounting, IT, office management, recruiting, event planning, and HR. The ideal candidate is a proactive, agile team player who thrives on interacting with people and is highly organized and efficient.  Success in this role will provide a strong baseline of experience from which to advance and specialize within the organization as we continue to grow and scale our operations to fight climate change.

Responsibilities 
• Be the primary resource for employee questions and concerns, and act as a cultural champion
• Conduct guided and independent research projects 
• Develop, plan and provide logistical support for company events  
• Take ownership of general office administration: stocking and ordering office supplies, kitchen supplies, IT supplies, workspace management 
• Provide administrative support to IT, Facilities, HR, and Talent Acquisition and the rest of the company
• Coordinate third-party contractors and act as point person with building management
• Provide executive calendar management and scheduling support
• Act as liaison with a third-party accounting firm and perform clerical accounting tasks including payment processing, contractor invoice tracking and PO generation 



Required Qualifications: 
• 1-2 years of administrative, executive support, or related experience 
•  Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage time effectively, prioritize, and organize tasks
• Customer service mindset; willing to follow through and get the job done 
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills 
• Demonstrate professionalism, exercise discretion and have an ability to handle confidential information with integrity 
• Desire to improve processes and take initiative to find creative solutions that improve operations 
• Commitment to our environmental mission

Bonus Qualifications: 
• Experience with Google Apps, Dropbox and/or SalesForce administration 
• Familiarity with accounting concepts and practices 
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel and/or PowerPoint 
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred 
• Technical aptitude; experience with managing office IT including set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting or willingness to learn
