Director of Marketing

We’re in search of a Director of Global Marketing who will own and lead our global marketing efforts. Your primary accountability will be to drive qualified leads and opportunities for the Canpango Sales Team through the creation of demand generation strategies and execution of channel-specific marketing and communications plans. 

You will oversee a global marketing team of 8 employees (and growing), including a content and social media writer, graphic designer and events director, as well as a team of associate channel managers. 

Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to drive strategy while paying close attention to detail and managing tactics. Experience working closely with a Sales team and C-Suite executives is a must. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluating and developing our marketing strategy and marketing plans to generate meaningful brand awareness among Channel partners, including Salesforce contacts
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts in collaboration with the team
  • Communicating the marketing plan on a monthly basis to Leadership
  • Working with sales department to develop Channel strategies that drive opportunities for Canpango Account Executives (AEs)
  • Running weekly 1:1 meetings with Marketing team members to ensure ongoing training and development
  • Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Developing and managing organic & paid campaigns
  • Creating and hosting monthly webinars
  • Building brand awareness and positioning
  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts
  • Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish
  • Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events in collaboration with Director of events
  • Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing in collaboration with Content & Social Media Specialist
  • Reviewing all content prior to publication
  • Working in collaboration with Brand Manager and Designer to create presentations for CEO, Canpango AEs and other departments
  • Developing and managing all marketing efforts for Work-Relay (we resell licenses of this software product and own Marketing and Sales strategy)

Must-have’s to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Experience running a marketing team with remote employees
  • Proven experience driving leads for Sales teams
  • Ability to analyze objective data to assess team performance
  • Ability to recommend & hire employees as team scales 
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Proven ability to make decisions and take ownership without much oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask

Nice-to-have’s:

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem and products
  • Experience leading a team of Channel managers
  • Experience in B2B software industry 
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM & Pardot
