Reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be supporting the Recruiting team with a variety of tasks related to sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, able to thrive in a fast paced environment and want to build their career in the world of Talent Acquisition.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Proactively sourcing candidates
- Screen resumes (high volume)
- Conduct phone interviews (high volume)
- Schedule job interviews
- Conduct first round interviews
- Keeping ATS consistently updated
- Assist the applicant to fill out the background check application
- Follow-up with candidates that have failed the background check process
- Create job ads and postings - need to be creative and innovative
- Post job ads on professional sites, job sites and social media
- Other duties as required
What You Should Already Have:
- Post-secondary education in HR, Business or related field considered an asset
- Minimum 2+ years of Recruiting and Sourcing experience
- Experience conducting interviews
- Experience with proactively sourcing candidates instead of just relying on applications to come in
- Experience sourcing for sales positions at different experience levels
- Experience sourcing for Auto sales representatives a strong asset
- Strong communication skills
- Professional but fun personality
- Strong work ethic
- Results driven attitude
- High attention to detail with good analytical skills
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively and to see them through to timely completion
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume environment
- A positive, proactive attitude. The successful applicant must be comfortable with change
