The Paid Social Media Marketing Strategist will be responsible for guiding the overall paid display and paid social strategy across our portfolio of agency clients, all of which are in the higher education space. This will include establishing ongoing best practices, determining the most effective audiences for all education verticals and programs and creative approach by audience. The ideal candidate will be someone strong in analytics, creative strategy and execution and someone committed to consistent A/B testing. The Strategist should be familiar with working within various social marketing platforms and interfaces, as well as have experience in producing creative concepts. In addition, this individual should feel comfortable developing creative optimization solutions to exceed established performance benchmarks. This role requires an analytical mindset and relentless drive for performance to optimize the campaigns for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities include:
- Create, execute, manage, report and analyze multiple client and internal social marketing campaigns
- Develop strategy and execution plan for creating a repository of quality video creative for Facebook and Instagram
- Manage implementation of campaigns - including creative, trafficking, testing/troubleshooting, and reporting
- Set up campaign strategies such as targeting, bidding, and provide hands-on management and optimization to exceed client and internal goal expectations
- Generate and distribute weekly and monthly campaign performance reports to the leadership team as well as provide strategic analysis and optimization recommendations
- Utilize multiple sources of client provided and internal marketing performance data to improve social media marketing effectiveness
- Leverage 1st party data to create viable social marketing audiences
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of relevant digital media experience
- 2+ years of paid social marketing experience (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- A/B Testing experience a plus
- Past experience working with PPC/Search, a plus
- High level of interest and experience in data mining and optimizations; including performance-driven programs
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Loves formulating hypotheses and drawing conclusions based on data
- Highly attentive to detail, strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and superior initiative
- Excellent time and project management skills
