Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer

As a part of our Solutions Team you will get to see inside of dozens of innovative technology companies and help launch their next generation products. We're looking for the right person to join our close-knit team to help bring modern development and devops practices to companies building hardware based smart products.
This role is for a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer with a software engineering background who has customer facing / sales experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and present product demos to help showcase what a Mason can do
- Assist customers in building Proof-of-Concepts to get to the pilot stage
- Form a deep understanding of our customer’s business and the problems they’re trying to solve
- Identify solutions that can be built into generic product features and rolled into the core platform
- Create open source sample apps and tutorials
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
- 2+ years of experience in a sales/customer facing position
- Strong understanding of Android
- Technical understanding in one or more of: containerization, continuous deployment, operating systems, micro-services, distributed systems, devops methodology
- Previous software development experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Programming languages (Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#)
- Frameworks (Android SDK, ReactNative, Xamarin, Cordova/Phonegap)
- Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence
