Publisher Development Manager (Remote)

We’ve devoted a non-trivial amount of R&D time developing the next wave of programmatic ads - and we believe our Optimize product will be a key driver of future growth. With dozens of publishers using our Optimize product daily, we’re looking to bring on our first dedicated salesperson to spearhead the growth of this product.

Who are we?

BuySellAds helps connect great brands with hard to reach audiences. When Better Mortgage wants to reach young first time home buyers, we do the heavy lifting. 

Digg, The Hustle, Pocket, and Feedly are just some of the sites we are able to help make more money by connecting them with advertisers like Slack, Parachute Home, and Verizon Fios, who are all able to expand their reach through BuySellAds. 

Here’s the exciting part. We sell unique native ads that are not accessible through programmatic exchanges, reaching a tech-savvy influencer audience. Think emails folks are excited to receive, sites people have set as their homepage, or apps you love to tell your friends about. We help get marketers in those places. And it converts like crazy.

We are a fully distributed/remote team, with 45+ people spread out across 30 cities in 6 countries. We connect weekly through a video stand up and keep in touch through Slack. We empower teammates to contribute meaningful results. We largely work around an EST schedule but are flexible.  

Your Responsibilities:

  • Sales for BSA’s Optimize program through prospecting and closing new publisher partners
  • Maintain expert knowledge of BSA’s Optimize product in order to educate prospective clients and close deals
  • Audit prospective publisher’s current monetization stack and suggest meaningful areas of improvement and opportunity for additional revenue growth
  • Work closely with Publisher Services team and Account Executives to provide operational support and ensure publisher success
  • Build publisher relationships through email, phone and face to face communication 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify areas of product opportunity and growth
  • Represent BuySellAds in person at industry events (when required)


Sound like you?

  • 3+ years selling or interacting with publishers in a publisher development, business development or account management role
  • In-depth knowledge of the programmatic advertising landscape and publisher monetization strategies such as header bidding 
  • Solid consultative selling ability, and understanding of the power of a well written email
  • Experience using a CRM such as Hubspot or Salesforce
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently hitting new business and revenue targets
