Marketing Strategy Manager

The role of Marketing Strategy Manager – Lifestyle is vital to Insider Inc.’s commitment to a proactive approach to working with the world’s largest lifestyle advertisers.

As part of the Marketing Strategy Team, you will develop innovative, effective partnerships for the Lifestyle vertical across all Insider Inc. properties. 

You will operate both inside and outside the RFP process:

  • Outside of the RFP process, you will proactively work with Editorial and Commercial teams to create and package off-the-shelf marketable solutions for proactive selling.

  • Inside the RFP process, you will support Sales and Content Producers when Editorial or Events Sponsorships are a component in the proposal.

Most importantly, as we grow our proactive discipline for some of our most important advertisers, you will own these opportunities from a marketing perspective. You will organize brainstorms with Content Producers, work with Research to identify key insights and ownable whitespace, liaise with Media Planning + Strategy for effective pricing and packaging, and partner with Sales to bring these opportunities to clients in a smart, engaging manner.

You are a crucial voice in the conversation when it comes to developing our holistic approach to lifestyle advertising as well as fostering deeper relationships with our most important clients.

Qualifications

  • 5 years campaign development experience at a creative agency or digital publication working with lifestyle advertisers

  • Talent for researching, brainstorming, and organizing and presenting ideas to others

  • Knowledge of lifestyle market – competitive landscape, industry trends, operational tactics, etc. – is a must

  • Ability to handle independent work and multiple deadlines at once

  • Capable of – and indeed excited to – run in-person pitches to agencies and clients

  • Comfort working within a digital publishing ecosystem as well as experimenting with emerging platforms and formats

  • Familiarity with and enthusiasm for Insider Inc.’s content, style, and goals
