Estimating Coordinator

Currently, we are seeking motivated, accountable professionals to join our team in the role of Estimating Coordinator.  As an Estimating Coordinator, you will be heavily involved in the fast-paced world of the tendering and procurement process.   If you believe our values align, we want to hear from you! 

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain systems and procedures in relation to estimating
  • Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions
  • Contact various trades and suppliers regarding invitations, pricing, addenda, and tender/bid closings
  • Produces quantity take-offs for all areas of the estimate as directed, while ensuring the take-off is well notated for hand-over to the project team
  • Develop complete estimates on selected projects consisting of a project site visits, quantity take-off, pricing, and presentation of the estimate for management review
  • Develop the schedule on which the estimate is based on, requests input from the project team and the various trades required
  • Assists in the selection of subcontractors
  • may perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Interfaces and communicates effectively (written and oral) with the estimating team, with all levels of management, clients, and industry contacts; contacts and develops business relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing within estimates
  • Completion of post-secondary education with a diploma or degree related to Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, and Estimating
  • Technical knowledge of modern construction practices, techniques, and equipment
  • Experience working with Bridges, Environmental and various concrete works.Knowledge of construction costs and budgets, the ability to develop a project schedule
  • Strong computer background including experience with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willing to promote teamwork
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in accordance deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve
