Project Manager for Data and Analytics

BriteCore is a web-based platform insurance companies use to manage their business. Insurance is a form of risk management. Risks are anything that someone could incur a loss on. BriteCore has historically worked primarily with property-based risks (homes, farms, churches, etc.) but is currently in the process of expanding to support new types of risks, including Personal and Commercial Auto.

BriteCore is hiring a self-motivated Project Manager with experience delegating to 15 or more junior and senior staff members. The candidate will work directly with senior-level architecting and engineering staff to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and timeline for the development of our new Data and Analytics module/product. The new hire will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of projects are compatible and hire new talent as needed to fulfill responsibilities.

  • Meet with team leads regularly to gather detailed specifications of each project
  • Develop comprehensive project plans in line with overall business strategy
  • Share polished plans that define, schedule, and estimate task duration
  • Delegate approved tasks to staff members based on strengths, skills, and experience
  • Track project performance to analyze proper resource allocation and completion 
  • Provide regular status reports from your team using a dashboard
  • Meet timeline objectives and proactively communicate project constraints 
  • Identify risks early and proactively create a plan of action for mitigating those risks
  • Discuss new functionality requirements with engineers and other stakeholder
  • Communicate and incorporate feedback for the product roadmap to/from clients, CEO and business users
  • Be friendly, confident, and patient with others
  • Communicate clearly and effectively over chat and video conference
  • Be online and working Monday through Friday 8 hours a day, including 5 PM to 9 PM UTC

  • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and/or change management
  • Proficiency in project management software tools (Jira and/or Clubhouse are a plus)
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile Project Methodologies
  • Experience working with highly technical teams and tool sets
  • Knowledge of software engineering processes and challenges
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS official certifications are a plus!)
  • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent is also a plus
  • Experience working with Data, Reporting and/or Business Intelligence is a plus (SAP,  Domo, Tableau, Pentaho, etc)
  • Experience working with Insurance is a plus
