Manager of Institutional Giving

Location: New York City
Salary: Commensurate with experience
The Manager of Institutional Giving will be responsible for the full lifecycle of foundation, government and corporate fundraising, managing a portfolio of approximately $1 million. The role will identify prospective fundraising sources and steward existing donors. The position will also manage the grants calendar. Successful candidates will have 3+ years of relevant experience, including a proven track record of securing 5- and 6-figure awards. Must have excellent writing and project management skills. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a robust calendar of proposals and reports, meeting all deadlines
- Serve as the primary grant writer for the organization
- Create all proposals and manage all budgets
- Act as liaison with other departments to facilitate successful funding opportunities
- Research and identify new funding prospects
- Steward existing donors
Qualifications:
- Approximately 3+ years of similar experience
- Successful track record of securing 5- and 6-figure awards
- Government funding experience a plus
- Superior writing and editing skills
- Raiser’s Edge or similar experience
