Director of Major Giving, West Region

The Director of Major Giving, West is also new position that will be responsible for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and prospects in the Wester region of the US. The position will also be responsible for designing a moves management plan. The position is part of a nationwide development team and will have a portfolio of approximately 150 donors/prospects, with a focus on major gifts of $10K+. Candidates must have a strong track record of success in donor development and fundraising for 5+ years. Disease-related experience is preferred. Salary + bonus potential. This position is remote, based in California.
Responsibilities:
- Full lifecycle of fundraising, including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects/donors
- Work with individuals, corporate and philanthropic foundations
- Develop a moves management plan
- Partner with nationwide development team on fundraising activities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 donors/prospects in the northeast focused on gifts of $10k+
- Partner with program staff to understand programs and anticipate funding needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of donor development and fundraising experience
- Focus on gifts of $10k+
- Disease-related development experience preferred
