Salary Commensurate with Experience
Terrific Executive Director position in the Los Angeles area with a national nonprofit focused on supporting members of our military and their families. The role will have oversight of fundraising, day-to-day operations, volunteer management, facilities, community and Board relations, as well as program development and delivery. The Executive Director will lead a team of 10 and be responsible for a $2.5 million budget. The position will maintain a portfolio of high-level donors and prospects, including individuals, corporations and foundations. The Executive Director will establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the community including local business leaders and elected officials. The role will also ensure the smooth operation of 6 facilities throughout the region that are utilized to deploy programming. This position will collaborate with colleagues at the regional and national level. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and approximately 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Prior fundraising experience is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of 6 facilities throughout the area
  • Oversight of fundraising, as well as management of a portfolio of high-level donors
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10
  • Create and manage a $2.5 million annual budget
  • Design, implement and manage various programs and services
  • Be highly engaged with stakeholders including volunteers, Board members and local leaders
  • Collaborate as necessary with regional and national staff
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Approximately 10+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Success in managing the day-to-day operations of a similarly sized organization
  • Program development and management experience
  • Strong track record of building engagement with volunteers and community leaders
  • Ability to lead, manage and mentor a team
  • Prior fundraising experience preferred
  • Construction project oversight experience a plus
