Bookkeeper

Breazy is currently seeking ​a Bookkeeper to join our team! 

In this role you will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relation skills and the ability to communicate clearly. This role will work closely with all internal teams and be the key point of contact for all vendor payment inquiries. 

Responsibilities:
  • Record all financial transactions including, but not limited to, those related to billing, expenses, cost, profit, loss, and taxes
  • Maintain billing records and statements and ensure bills and invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Handle all vendor correspondence and inquires via phone, email and direct mail
  • Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
  • Reconcile accounts by identifying errors or omissions
  • Perform monthly closing and create monthly status reports
  • Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
  • Compute and record numerical data including total cost and profit/loss
  • Check the accuracy of business transactions
  • Complete tax forms
  • Perform data entry and administrative duties 
  • Make suggestions to reduce unnecessary expenses

Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years’ experience in bookkeeping or general accounting
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Data entry skills and a knack for numbers
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong follow-through and a self-starter attitude
