Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interactive Design, Graphic Design, Communication Design, Fine Arts, Media Arts, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent
  • Experience in design tools like Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
  • 1+ years of experience as a designer working on mobile/web applications
  • A portfolio showcasing your work

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA or MS degree in Design
  • 3+ years of experience as a designer
  • Strong design portfolio
  • Demonstrates strong product, UI, and UX sensibilities with a high level of curiosity
  • Knowledge of technical limitations for mobile/web designs
  • A fountain of ideas and creative thinking
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in communicating designs and decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial services

At Boro, design and user experience (UX) are at the forefront of everything we do.  As a Product Designer, you will be envisioning how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels intuitive, inspired, and beautiful.

The Product Designer role at Boro is highly entrepreneurial.  You will take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use solutions.  You will achieve this goal by collaborating with product owners, engineers, researchers, and fellow designers throughout the design process - from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.  You will also collaborate with your fellow designers to constantly refine the Boro design language and create innovative, great-looking products that people love to use.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners, marketing experts, engineers, and fellow designers to brainstorm and define new product features
  • Design ux workflow, wireframe, user interfaces, and graphics for one or more of Boro’s consumer facing products
  • Maintain, optimize, and renew Boro Design Guidelines
  • Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs effectively
  • Analyze user feedback and fulfill business requirements 
  • You will participate in a work environment that cultivates creativity and inspires the best from your team and others
