BobCAD-CAM is looking to expand the Post Processor Development team. Members of the Post Processor Team are responsible for communicating with customers directly to research and implement the modifications necessary to create a working CAD/CAM post processor for the customer’s specific CNC machines. The detailed job duties include:
- Reviewing customer submitted requests for completeness and correct data.
- Communicating with customers on exact needs and testing results.
- Creating post processors per customer/machine requirements.
- Multitasking by working on multiple simultaneous projects.
- Communicating and logging project status and creation of any necessary customer documentation outlining the functionality and proper use of the post processor.
- Create simulation machine definitions based on accurate customer machine kinematics.
- Creation and organization of the post processor database; ensure up to date information
- Experience with software installer creation to deploy software tools to end users.
- Designing, developing, testing and documenting software components.
- Reverse post processor creation for working with the NC Editor software for interpreting controller NC code.
- Working in a team environment.
- Develop realistic estimates for proposed projects
- Identify and implement process improvements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field
- Experience with VB-Script a plus
- CAD/CAM background a plus
- Self-motivated
- Ability to solve technical problems
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong written and oral communication skills
