Bobby Redd is looking for a full-time designer to join our growing studio. This person will lead architectural interior retail design projects from concept through design development and into procurement . This person must have the ability to multitask, working on multiple design projects at the same time. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and collaborator; they are able to clearly present and explain ideas to clients and vendors, and they are able to work hand in hand with other team members to develop, refine and execute design work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the pre-design phase through research, analysis, and design exploration
- Leading and collaborating on concept development
- Leading the design development process
- Designing and/or sourcing furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Creating procurement documentation such as bid sets & shop drawings
- Creating client-facing design presentations
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience as an Architectural or Interior Designer on retail or similar project
- Advanced and diverse knowledge of materials and building methods
- An eye for detail and aesthetics
- Ability to quickly create and iterate design ideas in visual form through digital or physical sketches
- Ability to create visually dynamic renders and digital mock-ups
- Advanced experience with drafting and 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp, Rhino, and AutoCad
- Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with Dropbox and Google Drive with meticulous file organization
- Eligible to work in the United States
