Block Renovation | Head of Growth Marketing

Role Description
We are looking for a creative and resourceful growth marketer to take the full-time helm of Block’s marketing budget. Your role would be full-stack - managing both paid strategies, across diversified approaches in digital, broadcast, and other offline mediums, as well as contributing to product and retention strategies. Our full expectation is to unlock a leader who can take Block across multiple growth eras and build a world-class team.
Your responsibility will be to nurture a culture of original thinking, while ensuring a data-driven approach to the strategies you try out. We want someone unafraid of developing proprietary techniques that aren’t common in the marketing community - With AOVs in the $30k range, our customer journey looks very different than the strategies found in many DTC companies. We’re open minded to varying title bands tailored to a candidate’s experience.
Responsibilities
- Define, create, and execute Block’s demand generation strategy, while working seamlessly with Block’s internal sales team.
- Manage a marketing P+L, while marrying its growth to developments in product and the sales team.
- Collaborate with Block’s product team, founders, and other relevant teammates to seek insights and correspondingly tweak and adjust Block’s offering.
- Collaborate with Block’s creative director to hone strategies and communication that both grow Block’s business as well as our brand.
- Work with data and sales teams to create sensible reporting models and attribution frameworks.
- Contribute to Block’s brand, digital product, and pricing strategies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a dynamic marketing roles.
- P+L ownership experience.
- Team building and management experience.
- Experience with consultative sales in some capacity as this role will integrate heavily with our own internal team.
- Tactical experience in all core digital channels - SEM, Paid Social, Display etc.
- Experience managing broadcast, offline, and/or direct mail.
- Experience with marketplace dynamics is a strong plus.
