Our Service & Parts team is looking for a Service Technician. The selected candidate will be responsible for all areas of in-shop and field services. The candidate will typically answer service calls, help in the shop with the assembly and travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Documentation, installing, maintaining & repairing, assembling, and inspecting of machinery
- On site installation, start up, training, repair and mechanical maintenance
- Training staff and operators on machinery
- Electrical/mechanical and electronics troubleshooting
- Testing of Commercial/industrial food equipment
- Make sure the overall needs of each customer are met
- In house support and customer service calls
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues
- Ability to determine proper solutions to service issues
- Must comply with all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to understand and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Represent the Blentech Service department in a professional and experienced manner
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Availability to work occasional weekends
- Availability for frequent travel & ability to obtain a passport
- Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic aptitutde. Knowledge of PLCs/HMIs
- HS Diploma/GED and 2-4 years electrical and mechanical experience
- Ability to learn new technology, repairs, service procedures and specifications
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
- Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
- Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery and wet conditions
