Business Intelligence Sr Analyst

Job Summary

The primary role of this position is to develop and support business intelligence and ensure data quality with our customers. Our customers are business users internal to The Home Depot. In this role you will apply techniques and methods that are appropriate, effective and leading-edge.

Responsibilities

• 30%- Developing data intelligence and in-house knowledge on competitive pricing and assortment 
• 20%- Building data quality reports and developing a system to automatically monitor key metrics and generate alerts 
• 10%- Reviewing and presenting progress on data intelligence and quality metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis 
• 10%- Fulfilling ad hoc requests/reports and developing automated solutions when needed by customer or internal teams 
• 30%- Working closely with engineering and product teams to fix any data quality issues and look for better ways to implement Analytics solutions with innovative technology/methodology

Requirements

• 3+ years of previous work-related experience
•  Work experience using statistics, data mining or related disciplines
• Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data 
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written 
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec) 
• Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally with business partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, MIS or other quantitative subject
