Black Ink is a Business Operations services and consulting company located in Dumbo, Brooklyn. We have a long and diverse client list, with leaders in many industries including technology, design, manufacturing, e-commerce, music and others. We help our clients with key operational business functions from bookkeeping, payroll, internal audits and controls, tax management, financial modeling and forecasting, light HR, and other various business initiatives.
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager who has a passion for business operations, management, and a strong finance background. The Senior Accounting Manager will play an integral role helping multiple clients across different industries by providing in-depth financial and analytical support, from start-up stage through growth cycle. This person will also work closely with the Leadership team to drive team performance and ensuring our employees are set up for success.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in Talent management, including onboarding, training, and advisement
- Assist CEO/Directors with building and managing teams
- Oversee Client relations and expectations
- Facilitate team members with monthly close process and finalize monthly financial statements
- Assist clients with financial planning, budgeting forecasting, and cash flow management
- Understand client needs and build financial models and analysis
- Oversee various accounting processes, and lead/evaluate current methods, and suggest improvements/best practices
- QA, oversee, and participate in Client presentations

Experience requirements
- Master's Degree in Accounting required (CPA a bonus)
- 8+ years of solid accounting and financial experience
- QuickBooks working knowledge - a minimum of 3 years of recent work experience
- Strong experience with various system applications - includes but not limited to - Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience in similar accounting firm environment and in a Client Management position
