The Nitty Gritty:
The ideal candidate for this role brings a balanced opinion to the table and owns portfolio performance across all games. She/he sets clear goals for the team and manages end to end product lifecycle of the entire portfolio, often playing the tie-breaker to critical and time sensitive decisions. She/he is a veteran of data driven decision making and has a strong track record in building engaging and enduring products.   

The Duties:
  • Be the voice of all players
  • Manage and mentor a high performing product team
  • Balance growth, engagement and monetization streams, while seamlessly stitching together a compelling narrative that players will care about
  • Ultimately responsible for all around business performance (users, monetization)
  • Set clear data driven goals for product team and own the portfolio roadmap
  • Unblock, coach and lead broader game team that comes together to build experiences
  • Build the live-operations strategy/playbook for turning games into forever franchises
  • Be ready to challenge, roll up sleeves and dive deep into details for every specific product area where immediate focus is required
  • Monitor live operations health regularly and keep leadership team up to date on critical information ahead of time with clearly articulated courses of action
  • Responsible for measuring performance against expected outcomes, and coach broader team and leadership team with lessons learnt from every experiment

The Must Haves:
  • Minimum 6 years experience building and running live operations on games
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience mentoring or managing a team of product managers
  • Great communication and collaboration skills - great track record of working with leadership teams effectively
  • Proven track record of delivering results
  • Ability to set clear direction with a solid understanding of the industry, trends and competitive insights  
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Proficiency with excel, sql would be ideal
