THE ROLE:
We are looking for a seasoned Account Manager to join our small, growing team. We need your help to manage our rapidly growing list of customers! Your primary responsibility will be managing clients throughout their entire lifecycle: from onboarding new clients, supporting existing ones, providing technical support, to making sure the property managers that use our software are making a lot more money! As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience. The role will also provide cross-functional business exposure and experience with the day-to-day operations of start-up life.
Our main customers are vacation rental property managers that manage between 20 to 1000 properties. Property Managers use our software to automatically update their rates every day based on our sophisticated algorithm that takes into account supply and demand in a market-leading way. You should also be able to quickly identify trends in graphs on prices and occupancy to help show customers why we're pricing the way we are and how we can help them make more money.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Manage clients throughout the entire client lifecycle including onboarding and training new clients as well as providing technical support to existing clients across all product lines.
- Make customers successful by analyzing how they can they maximize revenue (price and occupancy). Review customer data and charts to draw conclusions and make recommendations on product usage.
- Train clients on the basics of revenue management and how to effectively use our tool to increase revenue.
- Build relationships with customers by driving value using a consultative approach to become an influencer and trusted advisor.
- Reach out to customers thoughtfully and proactively on a rolling basis with the goal of driving adoption, identifying expansion opportunities and keeping an up-to-date customer health grade.
- Create and execute strategic account growth plans with sales for key customers.
- Follow the appropriate escalation process to create and execute plans for at-risk accounts.
- Negotiate agreements with customers that are up for renewal.
- Manage approximately 80-100 accounts at a time and ensure repeat business.
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and effectively with clients.
- Coordinate between both sales and technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide proactive support and service
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a client-facing role (support, sales, account management, etc.)
- Customer Facing: you enjoy being on the front-lines and working to help customers, be it through presentations, trainings, or day-to-day questions
- Analytical: comfort with reviewing data-sets, graphs, and charts to make actionable recommendations
- Process Oriented: you are motivated by efficiency and bring it to continuously improve the customer onboarding experience.
- Multi-Tasker: experience working in a fast-paced environment and balancing multiple tasks and customer accounts simultaneously. Ability to prioritize your work day independently.
- Technical: Experience working with software or ability to learn a wide variety of tools for data analysis, including comfort with data sets in excel.
- Strong Communicator: experience communicating difficult situations with customers in a professional, thoughtful way
- Language Skills: fluent English required, with additional fluency in Spanish and French preferred
