Would you love a journalism internship with a locally owned newspaper that's reinvesting in its people as well as its print and web products? At The Berkshire Eagle, our objective is this: Become the finest community newspaper in the United States.
 
To make that happen, we're looking to host the best journalism interns who are eager to learn and ready to contribute. This paid internship lasts 10 weeks during the summer.The internship is open to those interested in working in the visuals (photo/video) or news design department.
 
Students who are majoring in journalism and/or work at their college or university newspapers are eligible to apply for this competitive internship. When applying, include a visuals portfolio, a cover letter explaining why you want to be a professional journalist, your resume and a letter of recommendation from your college adviser or journalism professor. All material except resume can be attached together in the cover letter field.

Trainees are required to attend an unpaid Berkshire Business Interns boot-camp, a 3-day, 2 night immersive career readiness training retreat starting at 10am Saturday, June 9th, and concluding at noon on Monday, June 11th. The bootcamp includes programming to help trainees succeed at their summer internship, fun social events, plus free lodging and meals. It will be held in North Adams, Massachusetts.
 
Applications are due by Jan. 15, 2018, for the summer of 2018. Selections will be made on or about Feb. 15, 2018.
