Lever - Berkshire Business Interns - Local Internship Coordinator
Lever, Inc. is a non-profit business incubator dedicated to entrepreneurship and social innovation. Berkshire Business Interns (BBI) (berkshirebusinessinterns.org) is a Lever, Inc. program that places college students and recent graduates with Berkshire companies for full-time, 10 week, paid summer internships. Currently BBI has 21 internships available throughout the Berkshires ranging from software programming to accounting.
In order to fulfill our mission, we need an excellent Local Internship Coordinator. The successful candidate will be able to build rapport with senior managers of employer hosts as well as student interns. We seek someone who can creatively solve problems as they arise.
Duties include: planning internship bootcamp (a three-day event from June 10-12), organizing 3-5 social gatherings for interns, conducting mid-internship check-ins, building and maintaining social media platforms, discovering successful internship examples, attending final presentations, and developing feedback mechanisms.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is eager to engage in creative problem solving, data collection and analysis, critical thinking, and risk assessment.
Applicants should be proficient in writing and math. They should have above-average computer skills, strong communication skills, and leadership interest and experience. Superb organizational skills are required. Experience in public speaking and social media would be helpful. Event planning experience is a plus.
This position is for a current college student or recent graduate. The compensation will be $440/week for full-time work. Starting date is May 29, 2018.
