Lever - Berkshire Business Interns – Human Resources Intern: BBI Program Assistant
We seek a people-oriented, logistics-savvy student to help us support other college students doing internships in Berkshire County. The successful candidate will help optimize BBI interns’ summer experience through social programming, logistics support, and regular check-ins. This is an ideal experience for someone considering a human resources career.
Berkshire Business Interns (BBI) (berkshirebusinessinterns.org) is a Lever, Inc. program that places college students and recent graduates with Berkshire companies for full-time, 10 week, paid summer internships. BBI internships are available throughout the Berkshires in a wide range of opportunities including software development, journalism, banking and manufacturing. BBI’s summer 2018 success will require an excellent Program Assistant. The successful candidate will be able to build rapport with senior managers of employer hosts as well as student interns. We seek someone who can creatively solve problems as they arise. Duties will include helping to organize social gatherings for interns, supporting those with social media, regular check-ins with interns, building and maintaining social media platforms, attending final presentations, and assisting with program assessment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is eager to engage in creative problem solving, data collection and analysis, critical thinking, and risk assessment. Superb organizational skills are required. Applicants should should have solid computer skills, strong communication skills, and leadership interest and experience. Experience in public speaking and social media would be helpful. Event planning experience is a plus.
This position is for a current college student or recent graduate. The compensation will be $440/week for full-time work. Starting date is May 29, 2018.
