Registered Behavior Technician

At BehaviorWorks, we firmly believe that children with special needs are capable of learning skills through scientifically-based strategies and passionate dedication. For our staff, each client is that one special child that is the focus, aim, challenge and pride while developing proficiency in ABA intervention. The role of the Registered Behavior Technician is to provide 1:1 therapy to children with autism. BehaviorWorks provides home, school or clinic based options. The technician must integrate knowledge and capability to help the child develop age typical social, play, language and self-help skills. Each program is designed specifically to meet the needs of the child and family. Experience sustainable change with BehaviorWorks.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma, but BS/BA in a related field (preferred)

  • Experience working with children (minimum of one year preferred)

  • Appropriate educational or training background in ABA (provided)

  • IN Driver’s License, reliable transportation and auto insurance

  • Current CPR, First Aid Certification

  • Clear background check and TB clearance

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of therapy services (must be able to walk, run, bend, lift, reach, stoop, and kneel and lift at least 35 lbs.)

  • Willingness to commute to the home of our clients (if needed)


Job Duties

  • Provide best-practice ABA services for the clients served and comply with Ethics Guidelines

  • Collect program target data

  • Integrate ABA knowledge to develop social skills, play skills, language skills, attention skills, and self-help skills

  • Assist the clinical team program development

  • Accept specific feedback BCBA supervisors

  • Adhere to high standards of professional behavior, including behavioral discussions grounded in scientific and professionally derived knowledge

  • Keep current all licenses and certifications

  • Comply with the requirements contained in the Company's Employee Handbook and Operations Manual
