Middle Information Assurance Engineer

Responsible for ports, protocols, and service management (PPSM) of all Information Systems (IS) and applications.  Coordinate reviews and validation of PPS usage against DOD PPSM Category Assurance Lists (CAL) for compliance and ensure PPS documented and register with the DOD PPSM database.  Provide Cybersecurity risk impact to IS/Application as it relates to PPS usage.  Maintain high level of energy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize task and duties of importance, and multi-tasking abilities. 

Core Functions:
  • Experience and understanding with DISA Ports, Protocols, and Services registration
  • Experience and understanding with Component Local Service Agreements (CLSA)
  • Experience and understanding with networking layers 2 - 4
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams performing security network architecture/engineering design ensuring mitigating vulnerabilities on the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN)
  • Experience with DoD cybersecurity policy and guidelines
  • Have a working knowledge of eMASS, CMRS, COAMs, DISA PPSM Registry, DMZ Whitelist, STIGs and SRGs.

Other Information:
  • NON-NEGOTIABLE: Current/Active Secret Security Clearance required
  • Required Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related field and/or 4 years hands on experience required; Master’s degree desirable
  • Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated cybersecurity experience
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience with DoD directives, Instructions and Guidance i.e. DIACAP / RMF for DoD IT (DOD 8510.01, DOD 8500.01)
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience working with Defense Health Agency (DHA) information systems
  • Meets IAM Level III requirements per DoD 8570.01-M
  • Certifications: CISSP or equivalent required
