Job Description:  sweetFrog Store Supervisor

Reports To:  sweetFrog Store Manager

Status:  Full Time Employee

Job Summary

This position requires an enthusiastic individual who can direct and motivate store employees in the performance of their daily routine tasks.  This includes being able to maximize employee’s productivity while ensuring consistent compliance with the execution of all company policy and procedures. The Store Supervisor must be able to communicate company philosophies and objectives to subordinates and the community. The Store Supervisor shall also greet and serve customers, perform cashier duties, maintain cleanliness as well as prepare, cut, and serve food items. sweetFrog strives to make every customer’s visit a memorable one and our store employees are an essential piece in reaching that goal.  

Primary Relationships

The position reports to:  sweetFrog Store Manager.

Principle Accountabilities

sweetFrog Supervisor:

1.  Responsible for supervising team members in the performance of day to day sweetFrog store activities and promoting outstanding customer service:

  • Motivate employees in the performance of routine daily tasks
  • Ensure positive work environment by identifying changes in employee morale and performance, then able to communicate deviations to the store manager
  • Assist in Establishing and maintaining employee work schedules
  • Responsible for engaging and directing employees in cleaning/maintaining yogurt machines and other food processing equipment and utensils
  • Prepare and serve yogurt and other food items to customers
  • Must be able to handle and cut food items properly
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures 
  • Must be able to be trained and then train team member in proper food handling techniques
  • Conducts in-service training for employees at routine intervals on store products, and other relevant topics as necessary
  • Must follow proper opening and closing procedures, including cleaning the facility at the end of each day
  • Wipe down counters and tables using proper sanitation procedures throughout the day 
  • Practices exceptional customer service 
  • Properly operate cash register and handle money/credit cards/gift cards
  • Conducts physical inventory and replace stock as required 
  • Attend weekly information and safety meetings
  • Responsible for counting cash from the registers at the end of the day and insuring that bank deposits are made
  • Able to lift 30 pounds 
  • Perform other duties as assigned  
Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate Degree in Food Service management, Business management, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate with customers and promote outstanding customer service 
  • Must be a strong communicator, with excellent written and oral communications skills   
  • Must possess strong leadership skills, and be able to motivate and influence others 
  • Must have excellent judgment and can work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Fluency in English (Spanish a plus)
Preferred qualifications: 
  • 1+ years’ supervisory experience 
·        2+ years’ experience in the food service Industry
