Bay Area Clinical Associates, P.C. (BACA) is a physician-owned and operated organization offering evidence-based mental health services to youth and their families in the San Francisco Bay Area. BACA currently offers outpatient and intensive outpatient services in San Jose, Oakland and Menlo Park and is exploring other sites as well. We are looking for a full-time psychiatric nurse practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team, providing routine outpatient care as well as care to patients in intensive outpatient programs.
Our mission is to set a new standard in providing evidence-based, multidisciplinary, integrated care. We provide all therapy and medication services at one convenient location, and will collaborate with schools and help with accommodations. We do see adults, but only the parents of the children we treat, as needed to improve the well-being of the child’s caretakers. We are looking for committed individuals dedicated to the BACA mission. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Position Description:
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to address mental health needs in children, adolescents, young adults and their families, 26 and younger
- Provide individual, group and family therapy as well as medication visits for assigned patients in an outpatient and IOP setting
- Engage in regular collaboration with physicians to review cases and treatment
Position Requirements:
- Current license in the State of California as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority
- Must have valid NPI and DEA certificate
- Must complete credentialing and contracting with insurance companies following an offer being extended but prior to starting - this process can take 3-5 months
- Knowledge of acute adolescent and/or child psychological disorders
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of acute adolescent and/or child psychological disorders
- Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation in a timely manner
