IT System Admin

Our client is looking for a IT System Administrator to join their dynamic team!

The Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative IT system administrator to manage our lab systems and help support our customers. As a customer support you’ll have a chance to work with scientific technologies such as ELN (Electronic Laboratory System), SDMS (Scientific Database Management System), and CDS (Chromatography Data Systems). You will participate in software and hardware QA processes.

Primary Responsibilities Include: 
  • Responsible for the IT administration of Lab Systems. 
  • Coordinate IT requirements gathering and implementation of lab systems hardware and software. 
  • Installation and configuration of scientific software. 
  • User Accounts Management. 
  • Manage licenses and trouble shoot issues related to laboratory applications. 
  • Systems maintenance including Implementation of patches/ fixes. 
  • Author and Execute IT Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Provide technical assistance and support to end users.

Education and Skills Requirements: 
  • B.S. degree in computer sciences or life sciences 
  • 3+ years of experience in general IT support and laboratory systems account management in a GxP environment. 
  • Excellent problem solver. Able to quickly diagnose IT related issues. 
  • Expertise in formal technical writing 
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical end users. 
  • Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
